About Our Islamic Center and Masjid

The Crawley Islamic Centre and Masjid (CICM) was first started in 1978 by a handful of Muslim families in Crawley. CICM improved facilities to accommodate the increased attendance over the time. Today CICM provides much needed facilities to the adults and youth alike and alhamdulillah over 1000 musallees attend Jumma prayer at the center regularly.

 Our Services

CICM offers a range of services. These include:

Maktab for students to learn Quran and Islamic Studies

Quran and Hadith Lessons for Adults

Counciling Services

We are currently building Phase 2 (part 2) of our Masjid to add the following facilities to the center:

Funeral services

Youth Activities Area

More Wudu Pods

Adaptable Classrooms

Increased prayer space

Due to the COVID-19, our regular funds are badly affected and we are heading for crisis where we will struggle to meet our running costs. Our average running costs are as follows:

Monthly Bills : £800 (Gas £400, Electricity £250, Water £150)

Staff Wages (Imams and Maktab Teachers): £5500

Our Mosques are not just places to pray. They are places to learn. They are places to grow. They are places to connect - with each other and with Allah.

However, for the first time in history - mosques around the world are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While businesses and charities are being bailed out by governments and banks - who will bail out the Houses of Allah?
