The Issue:

Displaced individuals, particularly in regions like Gaza, face significant barriers to re-entering the workforce. These include:

Psychological Barriers:

• Increased stress and trauma, leading to low self-esteem and diminished work-readiness.
• Difficulty in adapting to new job opportunities due to past psychological scars from displacement.

Skills and Employment Gaps:

• Loss of previous employment opportunities and skills that are no longer relevant in the job market.
• Limited access to quality training and upskilling resources.

Limited Access to Infrastructure:

• Lack of adequate spaces, tools, and technology for productive work.
• Limited networking and collaboration opportunities.

Financial Instability:

• Inability to afford essential training and access to workspace, leaving many unable to escape long-term unemployment.

Our Solution:

The "Next Chapter" program will provide displaced workers and students with comprehensive support to help them rebuild their careers:

Psychological Rehabilitation:

• Psychological therapy and workshops focused on stress management, resilience-building, and confidence restoration.
• Partnering with local mental health institutions to provide tailored support.

Technical Rehabilitation:

• Providing high-demand skills training in areas such as digital marketing, coding, and design, along with hands-on workshops and mock projects.
• Supervising and supporting participants as they develop job-ready technical skills.

Co-working Space and Infrastructure:

• Providing access to fully-equipped co-working spaces where participants can work on projects, access necessary technology, and network with professionals.
• The space will include internet, computers, printers, and meeting rooms.

Job Placement and Mentorship:

• Connecting participants with job placement opportunities (remote and local), including freelance and digital work.
• Providing ongoing career coaching and mentorship to ensure participants’ success in securing long-term employment.
